Happy Autumn Walks
We are so lucky in this part of the country to have some marvellous places to walk our dogs – from the beautiful Alexandra Park, with its formal gardens and wooded walks, to the rolling hills of Fairlight Country Park, and just about everything in between.
With Deefer, our own 14 and half year old collie cross, we have explored Battle Great Woods, the Firehills, fields and beaches ( Deef loves to play in the waves ). With the help of our new ‘doggy’ friends, we have now found the stunning Crowhurst Woods, where you will find us hanging out with Summer and Poppy, several woodpeckers and the odd pheasant or two – the colours are stunning there this time of the year.
But wherever we walk, we make sure that we know the rules, and any hazards – dogs on the lead in parts of the park, the occasional wandering cow in Battle woods and the odd snake or two over the Firehills.
If you have any favourite walks, we’d love to know about them – unless, of course, you want to keep them a secret !
